LS3P congratulates Interior Designer Beth Florence, IIDA, NCIDQ, EDAC, on winning the Star Award from the Carolinas Chapter of the International Interior Design Association (IIDA). Florence, who specializes in interior designs for the educational, healthcare and commercial market sectors, is currently serving as Vice President of City Centers for the IIDA Carolinas Chapter; she has previously served as Vice President of Membership and as City Center Director for Columbia.
Florence earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Interior Design from Winthrop University, and joined LS3P’s Columbia office in 2018. Her notable recent work includes interior design for the new Forensic Lab Building for the State Law Enforcement Division in Columbia, SC; interior design and furniture for the Ridge Spring-Monetta K-12 campus in Monetta, SC; and interior design for the Ingevity Headquarters in North Charleston, SC.
Interior design colleagues Emma Maltba and Paul Domlyn nominated Florence for the honor, noting Beth’s pivotal role in the success of the organization’s City Center groups. “She is a hardworking leader and an inspiration to other members,” they wrote. “She values relationships and has built a tremendous network for IIDA.”
The Star Award was presented on April 26 at the group’s annual meeting and Designworks awards event held in Columbia, and is the highest honor bestowed upon an IIDA Carolinas Chapter Professional Member for actively working to advance and promote the profession of Interior Design.
