Elliott Davis Decosimo Returns to its Original Name
Friday, October 13th, 2017
One of the largest accounting, tax, and consulting services firms in the Southeast will be returning to its original name starting next month.
Elliott Davis Decosimo, LLC, is rebranding back to Elliott Davis on November 1, 2017, citing the company’s almost one-hundred-year legacy and name recognition under its original name.
Elliott Davis and the Chattanooga-based Decosimo merged in January 2015, which resulted in the current name. Company officials said that changing the name back is about the future growth of the firm.
Rick Davis, chief executive officer of Elliott Davis, said the name change is part of an overall rebranding campaign aimed at highlighting the expertise and values the company has offered clients since its founding in 1920.
“We are celebrating the vitality of the brand and our recommitment to the communities we serve, our employees, and our clients as Elliott Davis,” Davis said.
Elliott Davis is one of the top forty accounting, tax, and consulting services firms in the country and one of the top five in the Southeast, with more than 750 professionals and specialists in nine offices across four states (Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee) and the Cayman Islands.
“The original name has vast recognition and a strong presence in the marketplace, especially in the current footprint of the firm,” said Nick Decosimo, shareholder and Chattanooga market leader. “This is a change we will all champion as one firm.”
The mission of Elliott Davis is to make a positive impact on the clients and communities it serves. Consistently named a “Best Place to Work” in major markets, the firm promotes an inclusive, progressive culture and provides senior team member involvement on all client engagements.
