Nelson Mullins’ Venture Capital Practice Garners Global and National Honors

Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough LLP has once again been recognized by PitchBook Data, Inc. as among the most active law firms advising startups and venture capital firms globally and nationally in their 2018 annual rankings. Most notably, Nelson Mullins is the only law firm in these rankings based in the Southeastern region of the United States.

Nelson Mullins has previously been recognized for the volume of venture capital work it performs, including regularly ranking in PitchBook League Tables and other annual lists of top East Coast law firms based on data collected by Dow Jones VentureSource .
In addition to the 2018 annual rankings, PitchBook ranked Nelson Mullins for the first half of their 2018 quarterly rankings among the most active law firms advising startups and venture capital firms globally and nationally as well as a top law firm in early and late stage venture deals and in the software sector. Similarly, the financial data company’s 2017 annual report and quarterly rankings recognized Nelson Mullins in the same categories.
PitchBook’s league tables are compiled using the count of completed deals for the specified deal type, region, and/or other criteria. Only publicly disclosed transactions are included. Only investments made directly by VCs, incubators/accelerators, and angels are counted. Venture rounds tracked as accelerator/incubator are not included. Financings by investors such as corporate VC arms are included.
